Rise Up and Walk!

Description
Rise Up and Walk! represents the impulse to move forward when life seems to close in amid difficulties, failed attempts and adverse circumstances. In the work, the forms overlap, intertwine and seek to make their way through, like thoughts, lessons and experiences struggling to find a way out.
The hands, the birds and the forms that seem to emerge suggest action, liberation and ascent, while the open book becomes a symbol of knowledge and of education as a transformative possibility. The movement of the composition leads from confusion and confinement toward a progressive expansion.
The work thus proposes a passage: from limitation to possibility, from uncertainty to knowledge, from immobility to growth. Learning becomes a way of rising up, and every difficulty overcome, an opportunity to carry on.
Progress knows no limits when knowledge opens the way.

Rise up and walk!

Life in dire straits,
failed attempts.
Your world fits inside a clenched fist
and you see the injustice
in the broken scales.
Whether heads or tails,
it always falls on the wrong side.
The angles of ignorance
say enough:
new circumstances
decipher riddles and offer solutions.
Your projects incubated for years;
today they emerge as unfinished business.
Knowing opens doors,
knowledge lifts you up
and life's vicissitudes set you free.
Education is a one-way road:
it adds possibilities.
Progress knows no limits.
