A Light of Illusion

In the book: "I'll be there in I, two, 3"

A Light of Illusion

A Light of Illusion

A young man on the ground
like a fallen leaf

feels overtaken...

even if his trousers are a few sips short.
His gaze pierces the bars
and conquers the road,
with a wink, he means
for freedom to tell him
at what turnoff he lost her.
His companion
has worn holes in his clothes from so much dragging,
he feels incomplete,
he looks at his life as a fragment
of stolen parts,
and hundreds of questions without answers.
The sky crushed him.
Each breath is a theft
and clandestine death keeps watch, expectant.
