Monsters from beyond
They force their way between the roof tiles,
through the cracks in the floor,
the chinks in the door
and through the glass...
cracked, of the transom window.
But who let them in?
The first one...
who slipped in through the hole
left by the fallen screw
in the sign that reads: "Open".
They come traveling
from the sky-blue pages
in search of answers.
What are they after?
Silent decipherings.
I feel shivers
and a tightness in my chest.
