Ghosts in the wardrobe

Behind every door there's one.
I'd rather keep them shut,
although…
I should also cover my ears,
they're pounding from deep inside.
I don't know what else to do
with all of them at once.
Maybe it's how long they've been
abandoned there, waiting,
where the pain persists.
I don't know what they want from me,
they think I ignore them…
but that's impossible
if I carry them inside me,
just as, in the same way,
I feel them outside.
Refusing to accept them
won't keep me away from their demands.
I will not heal

until I dare
to acknowledge them
and set them free…
blessing it all.
