The Guardian of Illusions
Little hole in the bitten cheesewhere the Tooth Mouse eats his breakfast.
Today he felt drawn away,
and bright and early... off he ran
after a tooth, just fallen out.
On his way back,
he tucks it inside a cheese.
He doubles its holes
because a child's illusions
are treasures well looked after,
so they won't fall asleep
before ever having woken.
