Lullaby in the Mirror

What she felt

Lullaby in the Mirror shows an inner landscape where water, rock and sky meet and converse. The river, seen from the ravine, becomes a mirror of the firmament: a reflection that seeks to flow, that moves in diagonals breaking through its limits, like life when it allows itself to transcend.
The density of the rocks symbolizes the weight of memories, the rootedness of lineage and that which sustains, even when it seems to imprison. Yet within that very weight dwells strength: roots that fortify, silences that accompany, and a moon that watches, witness to the sun melting dreams.
The blue and turquoise tones express the movement of the water and the search for freedom; the blacks, grays and earth tones evoke the solidity of history and memory; the yellows and ochres bring the light of the sky and the hope that makes its way through.
The work invites us to understand the connection between what is above and what is below, between the visible and the invisible, and to recognize in that natural mirror the possibility of a lullaby: a reencounter with oneself, where time, memory and the present are integrated into a single flow.

Meaning

Lullaby in the Mirror

From the ravine
I see the sky in the water
it wants to flow
the diagonal movements
break through its limits
with the permission of the clouds.
The rocky density imprisons the air
that does not forget it is wind.
Heavy is the support of memories,
the rootedness of lineage and its roots,
it is strengthening and complicity
of the silences with the moon:
sole witness to the sun melting dreams.

And I
I understand …

As it is above, so it is below
And as it is below…
I lull my mirror.
